About me

161440C7-E723-499D-BF19-01DF1F4DEB7F.jpeg

My name is Sophie Jones and I am the owner of Spring Meadow Veterinary Physiotherapy. I run a mobile physiotherapy service covering Somerset and North Devon. I treat both dogs, cats and horses in the comfort of their home.

I am a member of the regulatory bodies ACPAT, CSP and HCPC and have completed 6 years of university education to become the highest qualified veterinary physiotherapist the industry can offer. In 2020 I qualified with a BSc in human physiotherapy before completing my MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2023. I currently work as a MSK human physiotherapist as well as at a specialist canine referral centre

Vast animal experience

I have vast pet care experience. I have previously volunteered at the RSCPA and Secret World Wildlife Rescue and I have done numerous wildlife volunteering aboard.

During my studies I spent 2 years dog walking which provided me with a lot of skills in dog training and behaviour; especially rescue dogs.

The rest of my free time is spent with my two dogs; Millie and Archie and my ginger cat Flerken.

ACPAT

I am an ACPAT (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy) category A veterinary physiotherapist. ACPAT veterinary physiotherapists are considered as the gold standard in veterinary physiotherapy, as they have gained the highest level of education and gained extensive clinical experience as chartered physiotherapists prior qualifying to treat animals.
I am also fully insured and registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists) as chartered physiotherapist to treat people, and with ACPAT (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy) as veterinary physiotherapist.
